We are looking for a driven Social Media Specialist to attract and interact with targeted virtual communities and networks users for an Event Production Company.
The goal is to gradually achieve superior customer engagement and intimacy, website traffic and revenue by strategically exploiting all aspects of the social media marketing roadmap. Increase event sign ups and acquire sponsorships for our events.
Acquire permits coordinate day of event set up. Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification
Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action
Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content
Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community
Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules
Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information
Collaborate with other departments (customer relations, sales etc) to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions
Proven working experience in social media or related field
Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills
Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge
Adequate knowledge of web design, web development, CRO and SEO
Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels
Positive attitude, detail and customer oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability
Fluency in English
BS in Communications, Marketing, Business, New Media or Public Relations
The relationship between Marathon Maniacs and Fleet Feet Sports inspired a new venture in June of 2006. With the obvious void of distance races in Tacoma, Tony Phillippi and Paul Morrison set out to bring the marathon back to the City of Tacoma.
After joining forces to form the Tacoma City Marathon Association and in May of 2007 the marathon was back! Since then we have added new running events from 5K’s to an Ultra marathon.
In 2012 we opened up our new TCMA office above the Fleet Feet Tacoma store. With The Marathon Maniacs, Half Fanatics, Fleet Feet Run Club and Tacoma City Running Club it has truly become running central! Together we are committed to providing quality running events, giving our sponsors maximum exposure in conjunction with the event as well as making a positive social and economic impact on the City of Tacoma.

The Main Maniac / Co-Race Director
Tony ran track and played soccer in school. After a short hiatus from running, he returned to the running world. In May of 2003, Tony and two friends started the now largest marathon running club in the world called the Marathon Maniacs then in 2009 started the Half Fanatics. Both clubs now have over 29,000 members. In 2006 Tony also teamed up with Databar Inc. to create Databar Events! Tony has run all distances including over 270 marathons and is a 9-time Ironman finisher. He enjoys training with friends and traveling to races.
Paul has been running for over 31 years and, since the age of 12, had dreamed of opening his own running store. Fleet Feet Sports is Paul’s dream come to life, in 2012 Paul opened a second Fleet Feet store in Tacoma. An experienced runner, Paul has competed in a variety of races; however, he particularly enjoys running marathons and ultra marathons. Paul is also an avid Master’s runner and enjoys recruiting fellow Master’s runners for various (and sometimes muddy) running adventures. He frequently enjoys a Starbucks treat with his Fleet Feet friends, and spending time with his family and dogs.
